Hello! My name is Senuri Fernando and I am a senior at UNC Asheville. I am double majoring in Accountancy and Business Management with a minor in Economics. I have always wanted to get hands-on experience in marketing and at i.b.mee, I am able to do that. As the Social Media Content Creator, I have the opportunity to be creative and explore the dimensions of the marketing strategy to run a successful non-profit. I am able to collaborate and share ideas with Dr. Hanshaw and the other team members to create engaging content. I have already learned a lot about creating a marketing plan, how to distinguish target markets, the importance of a brand, and content creation. Dr. Hanshaw has taught me a lot about the importance of self-evaluation and leadership. Working at i.b.mee is not only great because of its mission and vision, but also because Dr. Hanshaws brings to life the new paradigm of empowerment education.
