THE MODEL

EMPOWERMENT EDUCATION

The EE Model is based on Bronfenbrenner’s social-ecological framework, Ken Wilber’s, Integral Model, and Dr. John Travis’s Wellness Wheel (among others). It includes thriving research theories, dimensions, principles, and tools that pertain to five levels of connection.
Empowerment Educators and Coaches use the 5 levels as a framework to guide their trauma-informed, healthy and empowering practices as life and learning coaches for themselves, their students/peers, and their learning environments.  The goal is to develop mentally, socially, emotionally and physically intelligent educators and students where EVERYONE has the best chance of reaching their full potential.

4 Thriving Pillars of Empowerment Education

Wellness

The continual process of developing, practicing, and balancing 11 life-enhancing dimensions in order to thrive rather than attempting to minimize conditions of illness just to survive.

EMpowerment

An internal process of positively influencing your own thinking, feeling and behaviors to move through challenges with resilience taking personal responsibility to experience what you need to feel safe, significant, loved and successful.

Leadership

Becoming more accepting of yourself as you take action towards your goals, while authentically modeling, expressing, collaborating and enrolling others in positive visions for themselves, their relationships, their community, and the world.

Legacy

Unleashing and sharing your core purpose, passions, values, and talents to bring personal fulfillment, appreciation and joy to your life and others, in the present moment in fun and inspiring ways.

THE SHIFT

Empowerment EDUCATION Principles

In the old unhealthy and disempowering paradigm, the system and rules dictate what skills everyone learns. The skills are then taught in a vacuum and are prioritized over the individual person’s talents, needs and motivations. The person is virtually invisible.  This is the fastest way to high levels of boredom, lack of focus, misbehavior, avoidance, quitting, sickness and a bad attitude.

In the healthy and empowering paradigm, the principles put the person truly at the core of learning, and the skills reflect the needs, goals and passions of each student. The system and rules are a reflection of the needs and desires of each person and their community.  This is the fastest route to high levels of creativity, innovation, engagement, health, well-being and fulfillment.
