My life long passion has been to understand the nature of suffering and contribute solutions to interrupting the cycle of violence that creates and recreates the patterns of pain we live in, at both personal and global levels. On the journey I understood that how we raise our children is how we raise our nations, all the structures of society are thus determined, and that if we want to see planetary progress we must provide an education that provides the tools for character formation and self awareness, far beyond the current standards of socio-emotional learning. My explorative and collaborative work has been invested in bringing about systemic change that can help us come out of a state of surviving into one of thriving. I have co-developed a new somatic framework called H.E.A.L., www.education2thrive.com, that I envision adapting into developmentally appropriate curricula, ages K-12.

I also serve on the board of BRITE (briteyouth.org), a non profit organization implementing programs at numerous schools in California, utilizing social change theater and the arts advocating for youth empowerment, mental health wellness and suicide/addiction prevention, among other issues. I have a Bachelor degree in Cultural Anthropology, numerous doctoral and master level studies in transpersonal and humanistic psychology with a focus in trauma and crisis resolution, and a Master in Organizational Systems with a concentration on sustainable leadership and pedagogical application.
