Alain Gauthier

Core Team

As an international consultant, facilitator, coach, researcher-educator, and author, I have focused my professional work on developing co-leadership and partnering capabilities in and across the private, public, and civil society sectors, including several universities.

Now in my mid-eighties and as an elder, I devote my voluntary work to co-creating conditions for elders to explore how they can live a regenerative life and collaborate with younger generations in transforming education. I am passionate about integrating the inner and outer dimensions of change, both at the individual and collective levels, to address our current interdependent crises.

Over the last six years, I have been an active member of the Elders Action Network, where I co-lead the Regenerative Elder Process (REP) and have co-convened for three years an in-depth exploration called Embodying Regenerative Worldviews. I also lead a group within the REP Community which has co-created a Vision for Education that points to the key role of elders in education. I live with my wife Elise in Portland, Oregon and stay actively connected to friends and colleagues internationally.

A Stanford University MBA, I have taught courses on leadership in several business schools in Europe and the United States over the last 45 years and am still a visiting professor for the Coaching/Personal Development Master’s Program at Paris 2 University. I am also a member of the Conscious Leadership Guild and a Senior Fellow at the Center for Public Service of Portland State University. My most recent book was published as a Kindle book on Amazon.com under the title Actualizing Evolutionary Co-leadership – Evolving a Creative and Responsible Society.
