THE ART AND SCIENCE OF BEING YOURSELF
THE LAB is based on i.b.mee.’s Empowerment Education framework (see at bottom of this page), coaching methodologies and our research-based “I Be Me System” that meets students where they are and gives them the best chance of reaching their full potential in school and life.
The Early Learning LAB is the first phase of our 21st century Empowerment Education W.E.L.L. Kids NOW® Preschool, Kindergarten AND CENTER – a full system of wellness, empowerment, leadership and learning in the new paradigm of education.
Our methodologies allow children to individually progress with their own learning so they feel confident and create powerful beliefs of positive self-worth. The Empowerment Education philosophy allows children to move through challenges building self-regulation and resilience, and to develop life skills and a life long love for themselves, others and learning. Our play-based, student-centered learning experiences promotes self-responsibility, intrinsic motivation, cooperation, self-leadership, social skills, emotional intelligence, communication, respect, awareness, wellness, self-love, mindfulness, citizenship, creativity, healthy living, and life readiness skills. We know young people thrive in a safe, supportive, fun environment where they are free to express their feelings, thoughts, and interests and are mirrored their brilliance.
When students are taught in a safe, supportive and empowered partnership environment by connected adults, feelings of true success and wellness no matter their life circumstances become the norm. Their daily existence becomes a process of living what is really important to them; a place of experiencing more freedom, confidence, joy and purpose, as opposed to feeling the pressure of having to “be more”, “be better”, “prove myself”, “get it right”, and “I am my grade” which creates constant pressure and toxic stress. Once teachers and students and parents understand, experience and implement this process, everyone shifts into well-being, empowerment, self-leadership, fun, and purposeful living. They are W.E.L.L. and their lives and communities live healthy and with PURPOSE.
Are you ready to experience the new I Be Me System based on the Empowerment Education paradigm learning environment?
YES? It takes a village! Join ours!
“This is the real secret of life — to be completely engaged with what you are doing in the here and now. And instead of calling it work, realize it is play.”
One magnificent Saturday a month, Corrie Price and Dr. Meg Hanshaw will facilitate a 90 minute Early Learning Lab for 3 to 6 year olds and their parents. During this time, parents connect with each other while learning and practicing the most innovative parenting information from Dr. Hanshaw, including the research-based, time-tested WAVE Process® communication tool that builds high-quality parent-child relationships that result in resilience and confidence to move through any challenge.
At the same time, the children get to partner with Miss Corrie building wonderful relationships with her and each other and experience creative, open-ended play experiences (usually with a theme) that develop cognitive, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual identities and skills. Corrie Price, a former teacher turned Empowerment Coach, will inspire and uplift as she models the Empowerment Education Framework and the I Be Me System in action.
